My winter break, Last semester, this upcomming semester. Life’s general hardships, and a few good times as well. It’s all there. And my new year’s resolution: Don’t let matters that are out of your control and understanding take too much of your time and energy. Everything will work out in the end. You can’t control all situations all the time. And I am not going to try and worry too much about how much stuff I have to do. I just figure that in the end, as long as I put forth some effort everything will happen like it is supposed to. You know that whole destiny thing.

My winter break:
I have spent most of winter break working on this website, and taking life pretty easy.  The website will hopefully be finished shortly.  I need to get my resume and other accomplishments up, so I can start looking for a job for the summer.  I had a week at Massanutten again over this past break.  It was definitely fun and relaxing.  I, Jennifer, Josh, Jeff, Janna, James, Brad, Wayne, Tamara, Justin, and Jimmy were up there doing snow activities.  Nothing else notable happened over my break really.  I decided to hang out in the burg for New Year’s Eve.  I ended up going to a party where I was surrounded by CVCC and High School drop-outs.  So of course, that was kind of depressing.
Last Semester:
Fall 01 semester had a pretty rough start, mostly because of pledging.  But also, because I wasn’t really worried about my classes at first.  I guess I just thought I would do fine in the end.  But after 2 weeks of classes, I had failed 1 quiz and hadn’t completed my homework for APMA 213 (Differential Equations).  I then dropped the class which brought my course load to 12 credits.  With only 12 credit of work I was able to work hard in my classes and do well.  I finished the semester with a 3.650 which brought my cumulative GPA up to a 3.172.
Upcoming:
Tomorrow is the first day of classes for Spring 02 semester.  I will be taking 17 credits, all Engineering School classes.  This semester I plan to spend several hours a day in the library to make sure I do well in my classes.  I have bought Schaum’s Outlines for Discrete Math and Electrical Circuits, so that is even more for me to read, but hopefully it will help my understanding of the material.  I will be trying-out for an RA position at the end of this month.  That is just another thing for me to be studying.  This coming weekend I will be taking a driver improvement course, then on Tuesday after that I will be going to court to plead for mercy because of my dumb fast driving habits (which I have recently fixed).  And on top of everything else going on Rush is starting on Friday.  That means many evening spent at Pi Lam doing fun stuff.  Even though it generally is fun, time is the main concern.  Also, with the onset of this semester theAngle website needs to be up and running.  I accidentally lost the version I was working on last semester, so I am working off of a backup version.  I can’t wait to tell them about the little mishap.  I still don’t have the domain working yet, so basically, nothing is going right with that.

Oh well, I am not going to try and worry too much about how much stuff I have to do.  I just figure that in the end, as long as I put forth some effort everything will happen like it is supposed to.  You know that whole destiny thing.
I know I kinda tried to cover about a year of my life in a few paragraphs, let me know if you want me to go into more depth about certain topics.

Until Then, don’t let matters that are out of your control and understanding take too much of your time and energy.  Everything will work out in the end.  You can’t control all situations all the time.
